A Sense of Home has not only helped me, but touched my heart in a very unique way. When I first reached out to ASOH my 6yr old daughter and I were moving from a transitional housing program. Being a young mother with no credit history, and a tight budget to work with it was not easy to quickly find a place that suited our needs. ASOH was there along the way, they stayed in touch with me, and checked in to make sure everything was okay. Growing up in the foster system with no family to rely on this kind of support goes a long way. During my home creation I deeply connected with a volunteer, which resulted in an amazing job oppurtinity. My very first camping experience was possible because of ASOH, of which I created beautiful memories and connections with other foster youth. Nonetheless, if there is one thing I take away from ASOH is that there is no limit, opportunities are endless. ASOH is like no other non profit organization to me. Georgie, Melissa, and all their staff have touched my heart profoundly. We’re family, and I’m forever grateful to have the opportunity to give back with such wondrous people!
