Holiday Season Gift Giving Event

Every December, around 75 Pay-It-Forward Alumni who volunteer their time with ASOH are invited to a special Holiday event where they are matched with gift sponsors to receive items from their personal holiday wish list. Individuals and families also enjoy holiday activities and food together at this winter wonderland celebration.

Please watch this video to learn why this event is so meaningful.

Back-to-School Summer Celebration

Back-to-School Summer Celebration

Each August, we host an event for 250 ASOH Alumni and their families, which is an opportunity to connect to partner organizations and their resources, receive back-to-school supplies, learn about and enroll in ASOH programs, and have fun together as a community.

Wellness Day

Each year we provide a healing space for our Pay-It-Forward Alumni who volunteer their time with ASOH to gather and learn new practices for self-care and participate in health and wellness activities. This empowering event for 50 Alumni is also an opportunity to create loving relationships with themselves and each other.

Foster Care Awareness Month Event

Each May, during Foster Care Awareness Month, we host the “Fostering Change” Event to listen to and elevate the voices of former foster youth. This unique and intimate event is an opportunity for 25 Pay-It-Forward Alumni who volunteer their time with ASOH to utilize their voices to advocate for policy change, to help raise awareness about foster youth, and to support and empower one another in their individual journeys. During the event, the amazing anchor Christine Devine interviews Alumni to hear about what change they would like to see in the foster care system.
