The original random act of kindness was repeated over and over because good people like you kept showing up and constantly bringing new ideas and ways of expanding the impact.

At ASOH, we could always use a helping hand whether it be contributing funds, donating household items, volunteering your time or just spreading the word; we embrace all the ways in which you can help us achieve better lives for those who’ve aged out of the foster care system. Create a Home

ASOH sends an email alert to volunteers for an Open Home Creation

Sign up to receive email alerts of when there is a space available at a Home Creation. When receiving such an alert it is best to respond right away to ensure your place and join other volunteers to Create a Home. All other Home Creations are sponsored thanks to an $8k donation by a team, whether it is a group of family and friends, colleagues, or a design team.

Warehouse Truck Loaders

Individuals

ASOH is looking for 1-2 furniture/box movers to help load recipients’ new items onto their U-Haul! Forget the gym, join us for some feel-good fun.

Create Essential Kits for Homes

Gather your community and collect gently used or new items and create and donate complete kits:

Students/Kids

High Schools are the ideal place to establish empathy and generosity as a core value – we have all the information you’ll need on starting your own ASOH club and inviting your peers to join in changing other people’s lives for the better.

1 Kid To Another
For every child in a home ASOH provides much needed baby supplies, clothing, shoes, books, school supplies, toys, games, and puzzles . Please gather all the kids you know to create kits for a peer. You can find all the checklists and details here.

330+ Items for each Home

ASOH installs 330 items in each home to ensure optimal well being and a fully functional home.

The 12 most needed Items are typically, Cribs, Toddler beds, Crib mattresses, linens for cribs, Dining tables for 4, Dressers, Pots & Pans, TVs, Coffee tables, Bath towels, Standard bed pillows, Throw Pillows
