100 Pieces

In 2015, four friends came together with a vision to unite their creative community in support of a greater cause. Centered around the idea of “creativity for good,” they launched 100 Pieces—an event designed to celebrate individual artistry while giving back to those in need within their own community.

Since its inception, 100 Pieces has partnered with the grassroots nonprofit A Sense of Home in Los Angeles County. Through this collaboration, the event raises critical funds to support A Sense of Home’s mission to prevent homelessness by creating first-ever homes and fostering a supportive community for youth aging out of foster care. All proceeds from the auction directly benefit A Sense of Home and its ongoing impact.

From the Artist: “I painted Earplugs at Leavesdon Studios in England in 1995, while filming GoldenEye. When shooting action sequences, the prop master would hand out packets of earplugs, on the back was an illustration of “how to” put them in your ear. I found the infographic to be intriguing, amusing and engaging. I wanted to see if the composition would work as a painting.

There has always been a philanthropic component to my art practice. Thus, I have decided to raffle two of Earplugs for a “A Sense of Home” to help aid in creating homes for youth who have aged out of foster care.”
