KIDS & STUDENTS

We greatly appreciate your passion for A Sense of Home, and for sharing that passion with the children and students in your life!

START A HIGH SCHOOL CLUB

High Schools are the ideal place to establish empathy and generosity as a core value – we have all the information you’ll need on starting your own ASOH club and inviting your peers to join in changing other people’s lives for the better.

HOST A DONATION DRIVE

Donors of furniture and home goods serve as the starting point for everything ASOH; our entire inventory comes from individuals and businesses who donate home furnishings and supplies.

BOOKS FOR KIDS

ASOH is in need of culturally diverse books to create libraries of love in each home.

1) Please hold a book drive. To participate in the book drive, you can collect donated books or purchase new ones. We ask that you find inspiration for the book drive by referring to our Love Library booklists.

2) We have done much research to create the Love Library booklists and we encourage you to create these Love Libraries at home for your own families. When you do purchase any of these books, we ask that you also purchase one for ASOH and have it sent directly to our warehouse at: 3457 West El Segundo Blvd., Unit A, Hawthorne, CA 90250.

3) Since we may never be able to get all these books into each home that was created in the past and will be created in the future, we welcome videos of these books being read for the children of the young mothers that we serve. You can find a booklist for children here. Please reach out to let us know about your book reading campaign.

1 Kid 2 Another

Collect and bundle kids items such as clothes, shoes, books, toys, and school supplies into custom, generous baskets for kids in age. Write a note from one kid to another and add your social handle so we can tag you!

Get Involved

A Sense of Home strives to prevent homelessness by creating first-ever homes for youth aging out of foster care with donated furniture and home goods. 50% of those struggling with homelessness are former foster youth. The homeless crisis can only end through prevention.
