Request a Home Creation – Disaster Relief Program

If you or someone you know has lost their home in the recent Los Angeles fires, A Sense of Home is here to help rebuild—starting with love, dignity, and the basics of a real home.

We understand that recovering from a disaster is overwhelming, and finding stability again can feel impossible. Our Disaster Relief Program offers free Home Creations—living spaces thoughtfully furnished with essential furniture and home goods donated by companies and individuals—based on each family’s needs, taste, and our current inventory.

A Sense of Home brings together volunteers and the generosity of our community to provide warm, functional, and uplifting environments for families as they rebuild after loss.

Who Is Eligible

You may qualify for a Home Creation through our Disaster Relief Program if:

You are a recent survivor of a residential fire in Los Angeles County.
You have secured a new, long-term place to live but lack the resources to furnish it.
You are in urgent need of household essentials to safely and comfortably restart your life.

What You’ll Receive

Each Home Creation includes:

Essential furniture: beds, sofas, dining tables, chairs, dressers, etc.

And depending on inventory, may include:

Kitchenware and small appliances
Bedding, towels, and cleaning supplies
Décor and personalized touches to bring comfort and dignity back to your space

Every item is thoughtfully arranged to make your new residence feel like home again—from day one.

Our volunteers and team members will select items to transform your space into a fully furnished, welcoming home.
