Alecia Townsend

Alecia Townsend is a former foster care youth and is the mother of one daughter. She currently serves as a paralegal at Oaktree Capital Management, L.P., where she plays a pivotal role in supporting investor onboarding and enhancing legal technology frameworks. With over 18 years of experience in the finance industry, Alecia has worked closely with investors and cross-functional teams, including compliance, tax, client services, marketing, information technology, and fund accounting, to drive efficiency and innovation in legal and operational processes.

Beyond her professional role, Alecia is deeply committed to philanthropy and community service. She serves as a team captain, volunteer, and active participant in numerous Oaktree-sponsored volunteer events each year. It was through this work that she was introduced to A Sense of Home (“ASOH”), where she immediately connected and has passionately supported ever since. She has volunteered at ASOH in various capacities, including participating in Home Creations. Prior to joining Oaktree in 2007, Alecia spent seven years at PainePR as a client service coordinator, working with a diverse range of clients on various campaigns. She holds a B.A. degree in liberal studies with a minor in communications from Thomas Edison State University and is committed to leveraging her expertise to support the mission and strategic goals of ASOH.
