A Newfound Home Final Header

Join A Sense of Home in creating first-ever homes for young people aging out of the foster care system! Drop-off new or gently used furniture and home goods at either our West LA or East LA locations on Saturday, June 6th.

Every donation helps transform empty apartments into real homes and a launchpad for a successful future.

RSVP to June 6th here, which is not required but helps you receive arrival & loading instructions prior. Tax receipts provided.

Help young adults and families start their new chapter with dignity. Please donate only clean, unbroken items in good condition, as we cannot repair or clean donations. Thank you!

Check back for updates including drop-off instructions closer to June 6th! Questions? Please contact givingteam@asenseofhome.org.

  • Are there any housewares that ASOH does NOT accept? We do not accept dishware or utensils that are rusted or marked with stains, used mattresses due to CA law, and major appliances (ex. fridges, washer/dryers, dishwashers).
  • Does ASOH accept clothing? We do not accept clothing. We recommend donating to NCJW Thrift Stores or Project Ropa.
  • Does ASOH accept children’s toys, books and games? Yes, items are ideally neatly bound and labeled with suggested age group.
  • Can I help collect items? Yes! Share on NextDoor, Facebook groups, and socials to spread the word (downloadable flyer here). Please do not collect items from alleys or curbsides in an effort to ensure sanitary conditions.
  • What if I need help delivering items to the drop-off location on June 6th? We recommend using the Lugg app!
  • What if I’m unable to donate on June 6th? Our needs are year-round. Click here to schedule a donation drop-off at our Hawthorne warehouse at a later date.
