Elvira Laguna brings a decade of invaluable experience in the nonprofit sector, specializing in youth services. With a background in working with boys and girls in residential group homes, she has also provided consulting expertise to various nonprofit organizations.

As a former foster youth who spent 12 years navigating the DCFS system, Elvira intimately understands the challenges within the system. Her personal journey fuels her passion for strengthening communities and bridging the gaps for vulnerable youth.

Elvira’s commitment extends to her roles as a board member, where she serves on the boards of Heritage Group Homes and Remarkably Us. Through her dedication and firsthand understanding, Elvira endeavors to create lasting impact and positive change in the lives of young people facing adversity.
