This June, during Pride Month, we were blessed with two extraordinary global honors:
These recognitions would not be possible without the continued belief and investment in ASOH’s mission – from the extraordinary people who have each given in unique ways to convert every action into meaningful impact. We are seizing upon this historic moment to thank all who have given so greatly with their heart and have joined us on this journey to change lives through the power of home

Eleven years ago, our organization was born from a simple yet profound truth: that every young person aging out of foster care deserves a space that feels like love, safety, and a true sense of home. Over the years, we have woven together a beautiful community that has helped us change the lives of 5,000 individuals to date. We extend our profound gratitude to our community, volunteers, donors, partners, and the inspiring individuals we serve. We celebrate you and how far we have all come together.
Our profound and sincere congratulations to all in our community who made this moment and Time honor possible. This has been a collective effort of love and community since day one. We pay tribute and honor the generosity of our Founding Patrons including the esteemed Chair of ASOH’s Board Emeritus, Ambassador Nicole Avant, and Ted Sarandos, Board Emeritus Members Jena Kingg, Gary Gilbert and Charlotte Gilbert. You are the bedrock of this organization and movement. You have stood with us and ensured we built a stable and sustainable model and organization.

We would not be here if not for our Founding Angels who literally launched ASOH when they held an event at Burberry. Thank you to our Angels Irena Medavoy, Bui Simon, Cheryl Saban, Jennifer Flavin Stallone, Rosanna Arquette, Christine Devine and Bernie Leonard. And we thank their extended Circle of Angels Lisa McRee, Red Barris, Melinda Maria, Rachel Zoe, Barbra Streisand, Lyndie Benson, Keely Brosnan, Kathy Hilton, Laura Dern, Solei Moonfrye, Amy Smart, Sybil Robson Orr, Susie Sheinberg, Cynthia Yorkin, Nadine Schiff, Lyne Lear, Shannon Rotenberg, Natasha Croxall, Mychelle Charters, and Lauren King.
Thank you to our passionate and esteemed Board of Directors and the revered Foundations including The Chuck Lorre Family Foundation, Young Adults Forward Fund, The Hilton Foundation, Specialty Family Foundation, and The Pritzker Foundation, who have been the fabric of our programs, growth and laying the infrastructure for scaling our successful model.

Each of you women have extended yourselves and your good name to champion our work and to generously advise and guide us. Thank you to all of our amazing Community Partners and our Community Leaders including David Ambroz and Danielle Gletow who have offered such invaluable insights and wisdom, and who have also generously guided us since our very earliest days.

Rachel has poured her experience and heart into ASOH as our ED, and most recently as our Interim CEO. Rachel is uniquely positioned to continue the momentum and ensure absolute stability for our programs, whilst never losing the intimate thread of care that connects us all, and preserving the DNA in all that we do.
With gratitude and loving community spirit – we thank you all.
